« La conservation-restauration en Egypte : sauvegarde et mise en valeur d’un patrimoine exceptionnel »
Les objets et monuments égyptiens sont découverts, étudiés et mis en valeurs depuis des siècles, mais leur conservation-restauration est plus récente. Une collaboration pluridisciplinaire nous semble nécessaire pour une meilleure compréhension de ce patrimoine afin de proposer des interventions adaptées. Notre objectif est dans un premier temps de respecter le matériau originel puis de répondre aux attentes des chercheurs. Chaque chantier est une nouveauté et amène à de nouvelles problématiques.

Three lectures will be held along with THE SKY ABOVE US exhibition to present the activities of the French-Egyptian Centre for the Study of Karnak Temples (CFEETK, MoTA/UAR3172 of the CNRS). The first lecture will be presented by Drs. Ahmed al-Taher and Luc Gabolde, both co-directeurs of the CFEETK. The second talk will be delivered by the photographer Émilie Saubestre, and will focus on both aims and challenges she faces in managing the photography and multimedia department in Karnak. The last talk will be given by Timothée Sassolas-Serrayet, engineer in photogrammetry, to reveal both techniques and methods he applies to the Hieroteka 3D project supported by the CFEETK and the LabEx ARCHIMEDE.

Ahmed al-Taher (co-directeur du CFEETK, MoTA) et Chiara Salvador (LabEx ARCHIMEDE) feront une présentation intitulée “Making graffiti in Karnak: Between individual and institutional practices” lors du colloque Making and Experiencing Graffiti in Ancient and Late Antique Egypt and Sudan. Celui se déroulera en ligne (Zoom) entre le 15 et 17 décembre 2021 et est organisé par le Nederlands Instituut voor het Nabije Oosten (NINO).

À l’occasion des Rendez-vous de l’aha 2021-2022, Matthieu Vanpeene (CNRS-CFEETK) fera une conférence intitulé “Fabriquer l’espace cultuel en Égypte gréco-romaine. Le cas du temple de Repit à Athribis” dans laquelle il présentera les conclusions de ses travaux de thèses.
Cet événement aura lieu le 8 octobre 2021 à Paris à l’INHA (2 rue Vivienne, salle Ingres, 2e étage).
